NS Race furling system is designed to furl a jib or genoa around the stainless steel wire forestay. This furling kit can be used with an existing staysail on snap hooks or with a luff pocket on a zipper. Additional halyard swivel allows for the fine adjustment of the luff of the sail. Genoa halyard can then be carried inside the mast and brought out to the cockpit for an easy crew access.

NS Race genoa furler is an analogue to following furlers: Harken Hoistable Furling System, Bartels C1-11x-1, etc.
NS Race furling system includes a drum, top swivel (1.2 ton working load) and halyard swivel. Production material: anodized aluminum, stainless steel AISI316, ceramic ball bearings; the drum lining is made of carbon fiber. Control line of 6 mm is supplied separately. We offer complete sets of equipment for staysail furling, as well as optional accessories for a line guiding. Genoa tracks and travellers, blocks and clutches are also available on request.
Optionally, it is possible to replace the upper swivel to increase system’s working load up to 1.5 ton (for catamarans or sport boats), as well as a change of the drum to the continuous line type (to increase the size of a staysail, improve aerodynamics).
NS Race furling system is appropriate for:
- up to 6mm forestay diameter;
- sail area approx. 12 sq.m | 130 sq.ft or less;
- control line diameter 6 mm | 15/64″ ;
- thimbles 10 mm | 25/64″ thick with a pin hole of 8 mm | 5/16″;
- attaching with a 8 mm | 5/16″ shackle;
- working load of 1’200 kg / 2’645 lbs;
- boats up to 26 feet.
